Speaker: Alan Payne / Tour Guide
This presentation by Alan follows the life and times of Donald McGill, a quiet and reserved man who grew up in Blackheath and who became the top pioneer of the humorous seaside postcard. After years of success, all turned sour in 1954 when he was prosecuted for obscenity. As we examine many examples of his work, you can make up your own mind.
