Speaker : Rich Sylvester

Rich’s presentation will involve the use of a series of interpretive display boards and a short interview presenting the history of the workhouse and infirmary that grew up alongside it. The presentation will also include information about its closure in 1929. As a postscript Rich will also touch on the hospital and infirmary that evolved post 1929 to the phased building from 1965 to 1972 of the Greenwich District Hospital.
